October 29: MINT'talk «Political Transparency through Open Data»

In our next MINT'talk we will be focussing on the topic of open political data in Switzerland. Open Data provides a valuable foundation for more transparency, innovation, and citizen participation in Swiss politics. We want to show how open data can improve the political landscape and which technological solutions play a key role in this.

Look forward to an exciting MINT'talk with:
• Florin Hasler from opendata.ch, who will explain how open data can contribute to improving political transparency and citizen participation.
• Christian Gutknecht from Glue Software Engineering, who will provide technical insights into the implementation of Open Parl Data and the challenges of data integration.

Background – Glue and "Open Parl Data"
Through our POLITmonitor online tool, we have been deeply involved with political data for several years. We understand the benefits and need for open data in political contexts. This is why we initiated the Open Parl Data project together with opendata.ch. Our goal is to create an open standard, an API, and a web interface (Minimal GUI) for harmonized Swiss parliamentary data. This promotes transparency, innovation, and participation in politics.
